Best helmet option?

Post by Cakeman » Sun Mar 20, 2011 3:05 am

So I'm going to do some supporting infantry for my new marines, and will try to make it all into a proper faction. The colorscheme is dark bley with splashes of other colors, I'm doing the infantry like this. Alas, wich helmet looks best?

I think the first two helmets work tbh, how about a mix for different ranks?!?!

Unless you add a gas mask to the third one, then he would be the most badass.

I'm torn between options #2 and #3, because I HATE the bulbous sp3 helmet.

I'd say do #2 for Berzerkers, but if they are just standard elites with guns, go with #1.

I'd go with no.2, but with a less clinically-insane head

they all have their merits:

Number 3 looks the most basic.

Number 2 has these holes on the side thaat you could put the antenna-things from the clone wars clones in.

Choice 1 looks bad.

Am I the only one who thinks #1 looks fucking awesome?! I don't really like 2 or 3, they don't look the part.
Holy shit, I'm still here?

Big helmets like No: 1 work better with armour or shoulder pads. Otherwise it's like, whoa, there goes Tefal lightbulb head.

No:3 for basic dudes.

No:2 for Captains and such.

No:1 with armour for heavies. Lose or change the visor. Maybe a black head?

Does anybody know the site that sells brickforge, brickarms and other custom lego items. Because they had an amazing gas mask that would look sick with number 3.

Thanks for the input and the ideas. Personaly I'm a bit against nr 1 too but many seems to like it - maybe with shoulderpads or armor like Warhead suggested. It'll be put on the shelf for now, in favour of the other two helmets in some mix but yes, probably #3 for grunts. I'm planing on arming the basic infantry with the plasma guns and thats why I was hoping for #1 because of the trans-red visor, but... not as it looks right now. Will have to see.

Nothing that'll happen next week though, as my girl comes to stay here. She accepts my hobby (and even rescued a lost minifig from the street the other day, if that's not love I don't know what..) but I wont push it :)

I like the insane yelling heads. They've got their war faces on!
