The Legion of the Eternal Question (LEQ) and an Introduction

Post by Tea Spork » Sat Sep 24, 2011 2:57 pm

Hello! I'm Tea Spork (You can call me Tea or Spork or Tea Spork, I don't really care) and I'm new! I'm only 13 so I won't be getting out much, but I did stumble across this forum and want to make an army... after looking at everyone else's, I decided upon my own!

By the way, I get really good grades in grammar so don't expect trolling or "LOL wat u doin" from me.

So, let me present.....
THE LEGION OF THE ETERNAL QUESTION

The Legion began as a religion started on a planet colonized by [INSERT GENERIC MINIFIG HOME WORLD HERE]ians. After finding alien artifacts, the native people began to believe that he who discovers the Eternal Question will gain the power to do all things. Soon, the religion spread across the entire planet. The planet soon came under attack from an unknown alien empire believed to be the planet's original inhabitants. A wise man who had been one of the original believers claimed that if the colonists defeated the aliens the knowledge of the Eternal Question would be granted to them. The colonists believed him, and in banding together, destroyed most of the alien invaders. Unfortunately, the wise man no known as the Eternal Father died in the attack. Now, under the leadership of his son, the Eternal Prince, and with the help of claimed weapons and technology, the Legion of the Eternal Question marks a blazing path through the galaxy, searching for the last alien scum.

Now to the army:

The basic soldier, an acolyte. Armed with a GT weapon and a knife, their undying loyalty and skill form the backbone of the LEQ army.

The Pilot is also armed with a pistol.

Heavy! Armed with a Heavy Repeater and bayonet, these armored acolytes rip through things like, I don't know, ALIEN FLESH.

Angles!
(For some reason the flash randomly starts working again after this)

Bayonets are awesome. Don't you agree, Mr. Bandit?

Slice! Here comes the Elite, a cyborg warrior programmed to kill and armed with a katana.

FLAMETHROWER! Wielded by the Dragon's Breath (a heavy, jeesh), it is a very powerful weapon- when used right.

The Obligatory Engineer. Armed with wrench and pistol.

Who could these people be?

The police force, a.k.a. fodder! Armed with a chainsaw and ready to end up dead.

Vehicles! Ones with guns attached too. Heavy, bazooka type guns.

Who's this? The Eternal Prince, my faction's HERO and my SIGFIG. Comes with an epic, all powerful laser staff.

So, this is my army. I'm currently working on some other dudes, like the Hero and Sigfig the Eternal Prince. This is how much I plan to have after I save up enough to buy all of it off BrickLinks:

25 Infantry (5 per squad)
12 Heavies (3 per squad)
8 Elites (4 per squad)
3 Engineers (1 per squad)
6 Pilots (1 per squad)
1 Tank/APC (2 pilots)
2 Motorbikes (1 pilot for each Motorbike)
1 Attack Craft (2 Pilots)
3 Scouts (1 per squad)
2 Commanders (1 per squad)
The Eternal Prince (1 per squad)

This composition is 4 vehicles and 60 minifigs.

Is this about right? Do I need more or less units? I'm working on developing the things that there aren't pics of.

C&C

Great to join, can't wait to become active. Hope to have some fun! Also, how to I change my title?

I like those gun designs! One thing I've found usefull is to see what you can do with the bricks you have first. Never spend money you don't need to spend.

Be-fucking-autiful.

Hello, you seem to be awesome. My name is Silverdream. Welcome to the forum.

So far what we've seen of your army is awesome. You have a decent amount of minifigs in your army, large enough to stop people from looking at you funny, but I would add more vehicles(the only thing you're short of).

Other than that, great presentation.
This sig is too fucking large: show anyway

It wouldn't be very interesting; I only have one of each unit shown :P

I'm currently begging my parents for a loan (110 isn't going to buy 60 minifigs and 60 weapons)

I'll post the attack craft soon, though.

Oh, and silverdream, you can start looking at me sideways now

I wouldn't advise spending so much money just yet. Unless you're really into army building, don't have cash issues or have people to play with. I think you don't want to have some "remorse" when you look at a 60 fig army and the money you spent on it to leave it on a shelf, get my point?

Agreed. Make sure this is what you want to spend a lot of money on, if it isn't you're in the wrong forum. If you are, I'd still wait a bit and buy stuff in stages, so you don't go completely broke for a long time. Also, as to the rank: have you been to the internet :D

Nice army, you might want to train your pilots to ride bikes properly, they seem to need stabilizers at the moment.

Thanks for the tips guys!

I'm almost finished with an attack craft and hero, I'll post pics soon. Also, you're right, I'll buy the minifigs in stages.
