Re: The official LOOT topic
DoW is far closer to Company of Heroes than to any other rts. Same company made it, same basic mechanics (capture territory, use squads, global abilities, etc.).
I played lots of DoW2 multiplayer until they nerfed Annihilate mode into the ground.

Re: The official LOOT topic
Birthday loot time!
I got:
Uncharted 3
Goldeneye 007 Reloaded (came with the Hugo Drax+Moonraker Laser gun bonus package)
$105 in target gift cards
$25 in best buy gift cards
Kingdoms "Escape from Dragon's Prison"
Pretty damn good haul, if I do say so myself.

Just bought Battle for Geonosis, and I got one of the new 2012 Ninjago sets! They are now available at Toys R Us if you guys are wondering. The new ZX ninjas are great. I also got the Metro 2033 novel in the mail today.

Re: The official LOOT topic

Used some of my birthday cash to buy the new Nerf Vortex Vigilon. This beast of a gun can shoot up to 60 feet, but IMHO it's effective range is 30-40 feet. The discs are a nice change of pace, they don't get bent like traditional darts do, and have a plastic center, so when you shoot someone, you'll get more of an "aw, shit!" response. Everyone hails this thing as the Maverick of the Vortex line, but I don't think so. It reminds me of the Recon more than anything, and only has 5 shots. It's also much more bulkier than the other Nerf pistols I own. This thing is literally straddling the line between sidearm and main weapon. Also, the flip-open mag is great for quick reloading.
Overall, I'd suggest it since it's only $5 more than the 1-shot Vortex pistol, and for the fact that the discs are just plain kick-ass.

Over here the best deals for bigger sets can be made during January when they have clearance sales of overstocked items they did not sell for Manly Santa Day.
Recent loot: four pirate cannons, some bushes and plants and 1x Briktulu!

Actually you can put six in the mag, and one in the chamber, bringing the total to seven.Robot Monkey wrote:

And the great thing is that cramming those disks into a tight space isn't going to ruin them like clip darts. They just kinda tough it out.
The vortex line is literally the peak of NERF engineering. Their next obvious step is to just start making real guns.
