one ring to rule them all

Re: one ring to rule them all
I predict the return of Castle/Fantasy being popular themes for Brik Wars battles/armies and a decrease in the Peach hate.
That Lego is going to be stylizing Middle Earth is great news but I want to see some prototypes or final sets before I get too excited. Toy Fair NY should be good this year.
My wallet is going to be feeling the pain this summer with Lego Lord of the Rings and Mega Bloks World of Warcraft.

...Why do I get the feeling we're going to be seeing a lot of Count Dooku/Sauron duels in the coming months?Ben-Jammin wrote:OLIPHANT! SAURON MINIFIG! SMAUG! NAZGUL!

You are not the only one concerned but hoping for the best.BrikSaber wrote:Am I the only person who is suspicious that Lego *might* just screw this up with juniorization, POOPS, and all the other horrible crap that's it's been doing a lot of recently? I'm afraid this may suck. Or be amazing. Fingers crossed that my suspicions are unrealized.

This will strengthen the Peach forces.
We'll just have to up our higher-tech army production and smush all these ent hugging midget peaches.

My feelings exactly. Even if TLC decides to take the path of lameness, there will likely be at least be some good elements that can be salvaged.BrikSaber wrote:Am I the only person who is suspicious that Lego *might* just screw this up with juniorization, POOPS, and all the other horrible crap that's it's been doing a lot of recently? This. I'm worried the sets won't be big enough. How can they make Helms Deep or Minas Tirith without 1000s if not 10000s or more pieces? Although a Nazgul battle pack would be pretty awesome...omegabob wrote:That Lego is going to be stylizing Middle Earth is great news but I want to see some prototypes or final sets before I get too excited. I'm afraid I'm going to pass this line (peach minifigs and lego usually fucking-up licensed sets), but I might reconsider this after seeing actual set pics.

Man if these sets come out as good as they sound I may need to take a 2nd. and 3rd. mortgage out on my house to stock up.

Well they probably will use some molded base plates, which I really wouldn't mind... and possibly sell important bits of each location over multiple sets.Insert_blank wrote:This.
