Not as crazy as some, but there were some weird robots in this set.

The best deal I ever I did grab was a bunch of Dark Side Developer Kits for $1.99, when CompUSA accidentally mismarked them.
They let you get away with that?

Not only did they let me get away with it, I drove to seven CompUSA locations around the greater Los Angeles area and grabbed a bunch more.
A couple months later, CompUSA went out of business.

Wow, it's like a real life fairy tale, happy ending and everything. The dev kits of course playing the pimped out, undervalued princesses, stubby being the dashing, harem-building prince, and CompUSA as the evil corporation that underestimated our brave prince's tenacity and fortitude, ultimately leading to its own destruction.

How many do you think you got in total?

I got 7, but I was late to the party. Some of the other LUGOLA guys got dozens.

Galidor?
Ah,
Galidor.
Oh, a CinéGroupe production. That explains a lot.

I actually still have some of the leg club magazines from when they came out with those sets. It's kinda embarrassing how hard they pushed that stuff.

Well it was a weird time for lego when they were experimenting with things (and suffering from sale losses too around the same time I reckon?), some had more success than others.

True. I recall a lot of weird stuff coming out back then. Though since the Bohrok were part if that group, I'm not going to complain.
Looking over the galidor line, I actually see a fair amount of potential in some of it. The sets themselves are pretty much total crap, but some of the parts might be worth using (the wings on that pod or the flamethrower arm from that robot guy seem like they could be useful). I might order a few parts from bricklink and see how well they work. One good thing about that line is that all the stuff from it is now really cheap.

I have that mummy set, I got it for the awesome plane.
Thankfully I never even witnessed a Galidor product on the shelves.

I'd wote for this:

I got it when I was like eighit, and despite hte utter lack of ideas I have now, regarding what to do with it, I remember having a lot of fun with it.
I couldn't come up with anything smart, original or funny, so <=THIS=> is what you get.
ENJOY IT!!!
