So today, I packed my camera and there I went to the Jerónimos in Belém (Lisbon), to check this expo organized by CAMP LUG out.
On the way to the actual expo you could pass through the Navy Museum's coolest part, a new addition I hadn't seen since my last visit was this neat Hotchkiss 5 barreled, 37mm Revolver Cannon. I was not allowed to take a picture but there are plenty on the web.
I was actually hoping for more and better MOCs but there were some rare finds here! For starters, the old Navy cross in Lego. (sorry for changes in light and reflections, not much I could do about it)
A replica of the museums entrance.
Replica of the Marquês de Pombal statue downtown.

Reconstruction of an old ship set.
Titanic miniature.
Ship works.
Typical coast-line fortress.

This was one of my favorites, a portuguese caravel conquering unknown lands and establishing a "Padrão", the explorers unaware of the tribal threat.

Old school 80s-90s boat sets.

The first Lego ships, the Blue and Red Imperials and the legendary big Pirate Ship.

The awesome Queen Anne's Revenge Set, lovely ship.

The infamous Black Pearl Set.
And the great Imperial Flagship.
Next we had this yellow Ancient Trireme.

Obligatory Sailor Boy.
Then there was the AquaZone dio.

And of course, the usual Lego Sea-side City.

The gem of this expo was the display of the very first Lego products, from the wooden toys to the first plastic bricks.

Through out the whole visit, I had a constant thought in my mind. "This would make an awesome Brikwar." Seriously, imagine something like a pirate raid of the fort or of the city.
Hope you guys enjoyed these pics.

Sea of Bricks - 2011
Right, so, after I dug around some old folders in my external hard drive I found out I hadn't posted these pictures of an exhibition I went to, roughly 3 years ago. I even had the all the text ready on a Notepad file to share it with you guys, so only Gods know why the hell I didn't do it back then. *sigh* Anyways, better late than never, right? At least there's some neat stuff here, so it might be worth the read.

Hm, there is an expo here both today and tomorrow. Wonder if it's worth trolling the pacifist model builders?
