After being conscripted for the Empire by circumstance, Isabella is set out on a quest to steal ebonite from one of the Falx dig sites. Her strike team arrives at the 'Slag Grotto', run by Overseer Malicia.
Isabella: 'Here we are. Looks like that wretched Malicia is treating those greenskins like a real slavedriver.'
Malicia: 'Mine faster you mindless brutes! Master Torquemada needs more ebonite! You don't want me to use the whip again now, do you!?'
Enslaved ork miner: 'No, anything but that mistress! We'll bring you more magik rock by the double!'
Isabella: 'Pathetic. The encampment's heavily guarded though, so forcing ourselves in might be troubleso-'
Gurak the Ashen: 'YOU!'
Isabella: '???'
Gurak: 'YOU! You are the witch who reduced me to slag just out of whim! Why are you here, and more importantly, what are you doing with the Imperials?'
Shrouded Figure: 'Calm yourself Gurak, we don't want the Falx to notice us just yet.'
Isabella: 'At least your master is a little more sensible than thou; seems like I must have fried your brain as well.'
Gurak: 'Give me a good reason why shouldn't I just pulverize them instead of the Falx.'
Shrouded Figure: 'While it is indeed peculiar to see a Falx Lord switch sides, now is not the time to discuss such matters. What are you up to now, sorceress?'
Isabella: 'I'm here for the ebonite, simple as that. The less the Falx have the better. What about you and gruesome over there?'
Shrouded Figure: 'Let's say we act as agents of balance for now, and it is in our best interest to see the Falx weaken while the Empire recuperates. Furthermore, Gurak's kind needs to be liberated.'
Isabella: 'So we have no differences as of current then. How about a temporary alliance then? Judging by your forces, you would be just as outmatched as us - together we might just be able to beat them.
Shrouded Figure: 'A bold proposal, but I like it. Gurak, you are to aid the sorceress in slaying these Falx. Report to me once you're done.'
Gurak: 'This has got to be some sick and cruel joke... let's hope you won't drag me down, witch.'
Isabella: 'Oh don't worry, just try to keep up with me with your shambling horde!'
