So I am building a big spaceship. It's going to be a cargo freighter/smuggler ship. I have the main hull and engine sections built, but I am having a lot of trouble adding a cockpit. The big issue is attaching it to the main body in a seamless way, which is really hard because of the way I built the body.
Here are some pics:
The rear and engine part:
And this is what the front looks like:
Any suggestions?

Put a cab on the front and make it a space truck.
Only problem with silver bullets is the price of silver.

Hmm, why not add the cockpit on top, but in the middle? Sort of like the space truck idea, but make it in a way that it could act as a smaller ship that can detach at will (similar to that of an escape pod). Actually, you know what? I'm liking the space truck idea more now. A space tractor trailer/semi would be pretty badass.

Since it's a cargo spaceship, why not make it look like a real-life cargo ship?
Then you don't have to worry about the cockpit being seamlessly integrated.

Add running lights and numbers along the side. Perhaps add a deployable crane/boom loader?

First they need a ship that flies and a place to sleep. But I will probably add running lights and such.

Put some of
these inside the big engine, and attach some clip plate around the edge. It will make the engines look way cooler.
The more i llok at it the more I like this ship frame. I expect to steal it when I get my legos out again.
