From Game to Lego

[Vami IV]

A thread for things you see in a game (like Halo or Portal) that you either build or see a picture of built of lego.

I start with a model of Wheatley from Portal (via youtube, although I had to conjure up some new tricks b/c LDD) and a Chell I threw together.

Right guys, so this'll be staying as it is for the moment, because whilst the last two pictures Vami posted belong in "Look at this" just as much as here, other smaller and self-made things that you probably wouldn't bother posting in "look at this" unless there was a topic whose theme directly matches that of the thing in question. I cite Nimja's FTL ship picture.

Aside from that I'd also like to avoid the situation (which Brag kinda alluded to and which I tried to guard against in the OP for the "Look at this" thread) where all the threads in the Bricks forum might as well be posted in the "Look at this" thread, because that would totally kill this place. The general rule was that if you would have given something it's own thread anyway, give it it's own thread anyway, and this (although only just about) qualifies, even given the fact Vami started it. Having said that I'm not stopping Vami from posting the battle for helm's deem OMFGHUUGE diorama in that thread too...

tl;dr: Keep the lego coming, whatever the thread is, the more awesome lego the better.

Video game mocs are bad for that reason and also for the reason that you have a specific thing to recreate, which limits your creativity.
