I'm On a Boat 2014 -- CSL vs Rebels and Knights

In 2014 AD, war was beginning.

Forces of the Canadia Star Legion came across a massive ship stranded in the Dundurn Wastes on the frozen world of Hammeria. Hammeria is a medium-population world in the southernmost region of the Rupert Sector.



The massive boat had all sorts of weird guys on it. They called themselves the Rebels. The CSL was going to attempt to capture the ship.

Turn 1



I rolled highest so I got to go first. The CSL moves up. Sorry for terrible picture quality.




The heavy jetpack troopers fly up onto the boat.




10 of my ground soldiers attack the knights who were on the ground, killing 5. Also, not seen here, the S-143 White Widow fired a missile at the life boat, breaking one of the ropes holding it.




The Rebels attack back. Both of the heavy jetpack troopers are killed.




A Luke Skyrunner jumps down and cuts up a CSL Soldier with his laser sword.




The main cannon (and another cannon not seen here) turn their sights onto the S-143 and open fire, but its armour is up to the task.




The same can't be said for the CSL sniper however, she gets taken out by the sniper on the mast.




That's the end of turn 1.

Kills:
Canadia Star Legion -- 6 (one was killed by the missile from the S-143)
Rebels & Knights -- 4 + 1pt Structure Damage on the White Knight

You must have the patience of a saint to move all those figures individually, without baseplates (even with having the shields as a prop it just looks like a pain in the neck).

Either that or your tablecloth has sick spacetek levels of gripping.

Oh wait, I meant SHIP.

My friend built the boat and provided the Rebel//Knight army. I just brought the CSL.

Standing my guys was made easy because of their shields. We didn't have much trouble with keeping them upright. Actually there was more drama with that on the boat because it has tiles for much of its deck.

Looks like an excellent battle is unfolding; I can't wait to see how this will turn out. Also, the ship is pretty amazing.

Turn 2



3 of the Space Canadians start climbing the side of the boat. Down below their comrades shoot two more of the knights. The buggy backs up.




The Luke Skyrunner who had jumped down to the ground also got shot to death. And the Spider Tank does 2 SP damage to the main gun turret.

I don't have full pictures from this battle, I suspect some things happened on the ship but I have no pictures.

Turn 3 -- Looks like I did a better job with pictures for this turn.



The White Knight kills one of the guys on the ground. My ground soldiers also killed another knight or two.




This knight attacked the buggy.




He sliced the wheel off.




Two of the soldiers climbing up the side of the ship get blown away.




One of the guys on the ground attacks the White Knight with a laser sword but he fails to damage it.




And that's the end of Turn 3.

This is a good battle, it seems you do one of these every year just to show us who's best at battle reports.

Turn 04



More Space Canadians climb up the walls of the boat.




On the ground they kill some more guys, including Spider Wolf.




Gandalf and Dumbledore are no more.




The Spider Tank decides to go climbing. Notice here that the gun turret has been destroyed, it probably happened before the tank tried to climb up, but I guess I never took a picture.




The Rebels have other ideas however. Some of them head over and grab some depth charges.




Most of the CSL soldiers climbing the hull get killed.




Bubba Fat shoots the minigun trooper off the side of the boat as well.




That's the end of Turn 4.
