Took Silvers advice, this was the reply I got back:

Get them to explain Legend of the Galatic Hero or the 15 year rivalry/bromance between Amuro and Char in the first 4 Gundam shows. Another good idea is to pronounce elitist like "el-i-tist" and use the Piltogg argument a lot. Or you could just sit down and watch Saint Seiya together and talk about how the only way to restart someone's heart is to punch them in exactly the same place you punched them before but on their back instead of their chest.

Finished Michko e Hatchin. I thought it was pretty okay. It was all style and no substance but it was really stylish. There wasn't a plot, just episode of week stuff which was 85% enjoyable. The ending was about as good as I could expect. I loved the animation and the bright colors juxtaposed with the poverty and squalor of the cities.

I think Hatchin is so mature for her age because it's funnier to have the adult act like a child and the child act like an adult. If you keep going she has a lot more moments of naivete which go perfectly with her age and Michiko does a few things that show she's a semi-mature adult.
