You've already eaten your apple, but that doesn't stop your from wondering what happened to everyone else.lawmaster wrote:Eat my apple, wonder what ever happened to everyone else.

At that moment, a pair of planes fly by your sled-walker. I wonder where they're off to?

Anyway, that won't get you out of your current predicament.

Half a dozen angry dimmies approach from the east. Unfortunately for you, the Land of Spires and Rodents isn't conducive to faster walking speeds. Add to that the landmine lookalikes (which may or may not actually be landmines - 50% chance of exploding when stepped on, independent of previous encounters with the object. Rodents aren't heavy enough to trigger an explosion), and the fact you're headed east, and you've got a situation on your hands.

You're starting to wish you put some guns on your mech. As is, it's unarmed - you'll have to disembark or stomp the dimmies to death.
ENCOUNTER 3 TURN 2
Guy decides he's had enough of these jackasses. He sprints to the rockface and climbs up like it's no biggie (critical sprint: 9=6+3, move of 5" + 3" climb = 11"/14"). At the top, he ditches his gun in favour of one of the assault rifles.

->Guy is pissed off - if fired upon, will fire back at no cost to action, provided he is not killed.
One squad of reinforcements appears for the Wartirnian Mercenaries. (More reinforcements possibly en route.)

The leader of the Western Squad tells his men to "Man up and grow a pair" (+1 skill boost, +1 armour, +1 cc damage, ignore environmental hazards, all until end of turn). His squad hears and immediately takes heart, managing to extinguish their burning clothing by the sudden influx in abdominal muscles. (What I say goes, opposed by GM. Success of 12 (crit 6+4+2 tiebreaker) to GM's 11 (crit 6+4+1). Seriously.)

General Arburst draws his pistol and accepts Archie's challenge. (Participants now in close combat, will be resolved at end of turn - one round of cc per turn.)
The rest of the Wartirnian mercs stop to watch the duel.
Arius takes a shot but misses at the extreme range (7": 4 to hit; rolled a 3). He then ducks behind the halftrack.

Chan climbs onto the flame turret. It's in good condition, but the gunner is beyond hope. He takes a shot at the demoman while considering his options, but the shot is foiled by the flak vest. (3 to hit, 9 damage (6+2+1) against 13 (4 (natural) + 1 (helmet) + 6+2 (flak vest, crit.).) The demoman is too busy anticipating the duel to retaliate (also he has no more missiles).

Avius climbs onto the ledge after Guy. He takes a SMG in the hope of doing some badass dual-wielding, then pauses to watch the challenge, oblivious to the newly-arrived forces.

Sly Blue takes a shot at the demoman, but once again fails to kill. (4 to hit, no damage (1=crit fail)) He then checks his bearings and hides behind the real Arius.

Sorry Silverdream, not gonna wait another 6 hours for orders. Didn't screw you over too bad.
Parts takes a shot at a Merc, but hits Guy instead. (Critical miss, scatter die confirmed Guy as target (50% chance split with Avius))

The shot burns a hole right through him (not represented in lego because duh), mortally wounding him. (15 damage (6+6+3) against 5 (4+1) armour)

Guy has fallen
Note I didn't say "Guy was slain." This is because you currently have a medik in your party, and Guy still has a heroic feat. So deal with it.
mgb, you are a horrible horrible person. You should feel ashamed of yourself.
Bravo is subject to the same luck as everyone else. Iona feels like he's done his favour for the day. Nevertheless, Bravo scales the halftrack to examine the gunner, not trusting everyone's word for it.

You ain't gonna get much more deader than that.
Challenge Time

Archie uses his heroic feat to claim the initiative and attempts to burn a hole in Arburst's face.

However, Arburst parries and fires a retaliation shot at Archie.

While only displacing his visor, the shot staggers the demoman, causing him to drop his satchel charge and his flamer and fall between the vehicles.

Unfortunately, his luck does not hold, and he is knocked out cold by the fall, potentially breaking some limbs, and getting set on fire.

Archie is down

Point of interest: Archie the Demoman has been known to install Dead Man Switches on some of his gear. You have been warned.

P.S. Don't mind the lamp visible in some pics. I thought some more light would be in good order.
P.S.S. Don't expect another turn until late January, as I'm going on holiday after Manly Santa Day.
lol j/k
