Commandant Von Wolfe

Post by piltogg » Wed Dec 17, 2014 7:08 pm

So I found this slightly larger than regualar minifig sized fig in a bucket of lego that I got from a garage sale a while back which I'm fairly certain is a fabuland police figgure.

Anyway, I haven't seen such figgures used much in brikwars as of yet, so I decided to use this as an inspiration to do some light building.

Here's the figgure, who I've decided to name Commandant Von Wolfe

His ride is somewhat unorthadox; having only one small weapon, that can only shoot forwards.

But that's because he gets more enjoyment from hitting things with the vehicles large front bumper!

Anyone have suggestions for backstory on this guy? How might he fit in to the brikwars universe? Also; it's been a couple of years since the last time I really built anything so I feel kinda rusty. Any suggestions for improving this vehicle?

Maybe turn him into the leader of a new faction? He looks like an evil dictator bent on conquering the Brikverse.

Kinda reminds me of the cop from Chulip.
BrikThulhu eats 1d6 minifigs each turn.

He kind of looks like some piltogg super soldier experiment gone wrong. He was deemed a failure and dropped off on some random planet somewhere. although his body was deformed he still had super strength and super intelligence. He survived on the planet long enough to conquer the inhabitants and form an empire from which he could launch his revenge assault on those that discarded him so easily. Fueled by revenge he plans to one day make those space piltoggs pay for shunning him.

Obviously one of the Nephilim of old. You should make a torso decal so he can have a proper Akkadian uniform.

Hm, not sure about the head... duplo/basic perhaps (AFAIK fabuland on had furfigs and no "humans")? The body is obv fabuland - same tricks can be pulled off with technic dudes:

Edit - found it! It's not a bizarre mutant, but in fact an actual basic type minifg! http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Basic_figure

This one in particular: http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/391_Police_Car

So, he's like the old guy then?

I don't know that the akkadians really need any more magical shit involved with them; as they are already pretty much a blanket organisation for anything high-magic or high-technology and are reaching levels of mmagic-inundation that border on the rediculous. At least when compared to most other people's armies on the forums.

I would like to think though, that maybe we can use him as a charecter that in some way explains why there are so many police stations around, and why the brick-police are so heavilly militarized.. He seems like he could maybe be like the head police-guy in the whole brikverse. I think in Brikwars terms though; it would be more interesting to think of police-men as their own hat-based faction, with their own objectives that you wouldn't initially think to be true, but ultimately make a lot of sense for some witty reason or another.

I would like to think that the history of the policeman faction goes something like this: In the begining of time, the minifigs knew not the ways of battle, and sook out purpose in life through engaging in "professions". The types of professions that might be available were indeed quite limited, because each fig was restricted in his options to professions that could be represented by the hat on his head or the equipment in his hands (printed torsos not yet having come into popularity at this time), one such profession was that of the police officer. The police-figs, designated by their black, rimmed officer's hats, grew to be one of the largest and most popular professions of all minifig-kind, growing to include many many figgures, and building police stations for those figgures to inhabit all over the brikverse. One day however, just as war-based thinking started to become introduced to minifig-kind, a high ranking police-fig named comandant von wolfe was selected to partake in a genetic experiment in the renowned hospital 555. This experiment hoped to create a new genus of minifig. Stronger and bigger than the rest, who could excel in this new art of war and partake in much more destruction than an average figgure could. However, Von Wolfe was a very strong proponent of his police-fig status and refused to remove his trademark hat during the operation. The operation was a success; but because von wolfe did not remove his hat, it had become stuck on to his now much larger head; permanantly. Try and try as he might, he found that he could not remove his hat, and he was now stuck being a police-man forever. Being a fanatical police-man, he actually found this idea to be quite liberating.

This lead to von wolfe's belief that all figs should be as he is. Never switching to a different profession. So, using his position of power within his police-station, Von Wolfe began the process of installing new laws for his police-bretheren to perform. Now, instead of simlpy arresting "criminal-figs", the police officers of the brikverse arrested all heretics; minifigs who tried to switch to different professions.

What do you guys think?

I've always thought of police as the brutal hat-faction that oppresses lesser minifigs and prevents them from engaging in their natural god-given rights (which is to say, killing each other).

In the beginning of time, minifigs lived in a utopian paradise where they were free to murder each other at will. But warlords and fascists arose who wanted to take away the minifigs' rights and force them to divert all their homicidal energies to building stuff instead, for the glory of their empires. And so a new order of murderers was born: policefigs, who murdered low-ranking minifigs and forced them into lives of grinding civilianism in order to keep the rights to murder in the hands of the government and out of the hands of the people where it belonged.

I suppose I took a slightly grayer take on it:
