The 1138th Republik Attack Battalion

The 1138th Battalion is an outlier division within the Republik, bringers of destruction and mayhem, rather than the peace and prosperity that the Republik espouses. Consisting of a relatively small amount of ships, armor, and materiel compared to other units of the Republik, they also have far greater autonomy to wage their war against whomever they wish.

The Battalion was sent out in the middle of the transition between the Phase I and Phase II Clone Trooper Armors, but after a small bit of scrapping over what style looked the coolest, each member managed to get the style they liked the most.

The Starfighter Corps, a compliment of 4, is led by a pair of LegitEye Knights. Oobie-Woobie Kenoobie, LegitEye Master, is amongst the most skilled BeamSaber wielders in the galaxy. While not much a fan of flying, he takes his place in the skies in order to make others feel bad about his inner conflicts. Anorak Skymaster, ace pilot of the LegitEye, modified his fighter with enhanced speed, maneuverability, and weaponry. However, he feels the pull to the SnarkSide of the Farce, and always has a witty one- or two-liner for both his allies and his enemies, and is kind of a dick in general.

The 1138th's Ground forces contain some of the fastest, and largest, ground-based vehicles in their classes. Their single-crew bikes measure a full 5" long, making them far tougher than the average. Their Artillery Dongblaster mounts a weapon fully twice the size of the main body, while the Juggernaut Tank, Sexapod Walker and Apache HelicopterLow Altitude Gunship act as both heavy attack vehicles, and troop transports.

Special Teams

As the team aboard the Sexapod, Captain Hex's squad of Blues eagerly both man the guns and act as the outboard team for when a more delicate touch is needed on a mission.

Image

As the Necktie to Hex's Bacon, Commander Dokey leads the Oranges aboard their Gunship on missions of wanton, reckless asskicking.

The future Emprah of Humanity, Cellermaster Palpy, has been known to accompany His troops into battle from time to time. From aboard the StarBrewery, He leads His Senate Beerines in a support mission alongside the rest of the Battalion. While they eventually develop the Holy ORANGE TRANSPARENT ALE, and become the Aledeptus Astoutes, for now they are just a fledgling commando team.

I see no customization but a Star Wars force of this size looks pretty impressive. I also like how you twisted the backstory. "Anorak Skymaster" made me chuckle. :-)

There's is indeed very little external customization, but there are a few internal changes I made that I can show in future posts.

I imagine that not everyone who enjoys this game is super creative when it comes to building things. My Brikwarsian strong suits, for instance, lie more in the creation of fluff and stats, rather than in making brand new MOCs, so I figured why not try and add one of the pre-built factions into Kanon by giving them a proper Brikwars background.

No need to worry about using stock units, most of the "staple" lore material (spacemen, yellow castle, the hospital) are basically that with a heavy layer of nostalgia. As long as you're having fun it's all cool. I never paid much attention to the CW range but they sure did release a ton of stuff now looking back.

I like it. Even though you're using stock sets, you still managed to come up with a decent backstory for the stuff, which is awesome in my book.

I used to have (almost) all those sets. Then I disassembled them for other uses.
