Especially following the "Why would you help someone who was hit by a car, you must be an idiot" conversation, I've come to realize that you don't have any particular human decency to appeal to.

I said "IN the 3rd world..." but yeah ok. Luckily in the US there are fewer people who would do anything to feed their families because of horrible poverty. Even where I live a security guard told my friend he needs to pay $50 for something. And my friend not knowing better paid and now they come by his place every day asking for more money.

And which, furthermore, brings zero benefit to me personally, other than the headache I get from having to deal with their behavior? As well as the blame for not preventing it, by either removing the toxic elements, or just shutting the place down completely? Either seems preferable at this point, tbh.
