Jaffa
(Legacy Faction)
I'll start with the Jaffa. After one of Ra's temple Worlds got attacked by demons earlier this Rekonstruction, the Jaffa Gods decided to push back and invade the Brikverse on a larger scale, mobilizing everything they have.
This battle pack features some of Lord Yu's army, who may or may not be sent on a secret mission later this Rekonstruction.

The main build here is the Assault Skiff, a lighter version of the Jaffa Death Tank. It's not as sturdy as its larger counterpart and requires an extra gunner to man its main turret, but unlike the tank it's small enough to go through stargates, allowing the jaffa to take these skiffs to attack other worlds without the need for troop carriers.

For minifigs I tried to keep it to four for each of the battlepacks. In this case we have a Jaffa heavy guard, manning the Skiff's staff turret (which he can also remove and carry around as a regular gun) as well as the Skiff's Pilot and two of Lord Yu's Dragon Guards.

Alliance
(Legacy Faction)
The Alliance is done sending out Grunts to do their dirty work and are now bringing out their Elite Units: A Small Squad of, well, Elites and two Hunters make up this battlepack.

Hunters are Hulking figures with heavy shields and armor and a cannon mounted to one of their arms. When the Alliance wants a tank gone, they send in these guys.
At first I considered only adding one of them to the battlepack so that you wouldn't have the same build twice in one set, but they usually come in pairs and I didn't want for one of them to feel lonely.

For the Minifigs, we have three regular Elites with various weapons (Plasma Rifle, Needler and Concussion rifle) as well as an Elite Field Master with a Plasma Sword and another Plasma Rifle.

Buggoid Space Pirates
(New Faction)
After their Outposts in this Galaxy were destroyed by Aton, the surviving Buggoids allied themselves with a group of Space Pirates, upgraded their weaponry and are now back for revenge (and loot).

The Centerpiece of this battle pack is an Aberoid, a mutant vcreated from the same organisms that the buggoids formerly used for their ships. While the Aberoid does have some beam emitter lenses crafted into its carapace, it turns out that these things prefer to just punch their target in the face (or anywhere else, if the target doesn't have a face)

With most of the Mantizoids perishing when the outposts got destroyed, the bulky Beetlezoids took over as commando Units, often leading squads of Buggoids and Mosquitoids into battle. Their red claws double as beam weapons.
Buggoid Pirates are now more armored than before and also get a arm mounted blade in addition to their regular beam pistol.
Mosquitoid Aerotroopers are probably the most impacted by the upgrades they got since joining the space pirates. Their wings got replaced by a Jetpack that combines thrusters with beam pistols. while this does allow them to move around faster and with more firepower, they still haven't fully adapted to their new equipment and have to split their attention between the battle they are in and not flying into a wall.

Battlepack Bundle
Like every year, I tried to make at least one set of battlepacks to thematically go up against each other - like many of the old Star Wars Battlepack Waves (Droid and Clone battle packs, Empire and Rebel battle packs etc). This year, I once again went for some Hellish Invaders and the Sentinels that made their debut this year.
Demons
(Legacy Faction)
By now it's known that Hell's Overlords, when bored, will just send a bunch of Zombies and demons to whatever planet is unfortunate enough to have corruptable minifigs on it that can build them a portal.

This attack force is mostly made up of Zombie Shield Soldiers. Why give Zombies Shields? because they are easier to use as a meatshield if they don't die immediately.

But since Zombies can't be trusted to do anything productive without a mightier demon overseeing their activities, a Komodo Demon, a Champion of Hell's Arenas, has also joined the attack. Armed with all sorts of close combat weapons - from a shoulder mounted shotgun over a maced tail, a steal fist to even an OTC Spear, you do not want this guy to get close to you.

Sentinels
(New Faction)
The Sentinels have been at war with the Demons for so long that some conspirace theorists say that they let the Hell Portals stay open on purpose, just so that they can keep fighting them. Wether that is true or not, it's undeniable that they were absolutely prepared to greet the demons with some heavy firepower.

Hover ballistas are some of the most common sentinel tanks. With the giant Railgun on top, the AI controlled Machine gun and rocket launchers on its sides and the two Rifles in front of the cockpit, these vehicles have a weapon for every occasion, even on low power.

The front of the tank opens up for one of the sentinels to take control.

When not piloting the Ballista, the Pilot can climb out, grab the two rifles mounted to the vehicle and join the other two Sentinel Soldiers and the Berserker leading them.
