Religion sucks. Just look at all the occassions people lost their lives over it.

- Burning of witches (a lot of knowledge was also lost because of this)
- The slaughtering of the catholics by the Romans before and during Constantine.
- The slaughtering of the pagans by the Romans before and during Constantine.
- The slaughtering of the pagans after that as Rome became Catholic.
- The South-Americans killing each other for their gods.
- The spreading of Islam 'by the sword'
- the Crusades
- The Spanish Inquisition
- The Pope delivering the jews that were on his doorstep looking for refuge to the Nazis in WW II.
- Suicide terrorists
- The slaughtering of the catholics in Japan.
- ... the list goes on, even today. Not to mention the fact Religion practically always tried to stop technological advance to keep people dumb. Luckily the church has little power anymore, but Islam is now the bigger threat.

Does it occur to anyone else that these acts were mostly, if not all, committed by dumb masses? I rest my case.

The vein of thought in the Catholic church today (which is what I am) is very different. If any "catholic" or even "trianglist" says otherwise, they are WRONG.

So the God of today is a different God than the God from a couple millennia ago? That's too bad, He was way more metal.

I'm glad to see that the "anyone who disagrees with me is WRONG" has never changed at least; it's the one part of your religion that's eternal, even if you worship a different God from year to year. Banned!

I ought to cut you some slack because catholics aren't really encouraged to read bibles apart from the carefully-selected Sunday passages, but the ancient Hebrews were all about their very clearly-detailed laws:

• 6. If a man snuggles or fornicates with someone else's property (that is to say, wife, betrothed, or concubine), he has committed adultery and you can go ahead and murder him.
  7. If a man snuggles or fornicates with an unmarried woman, and she was a virgin, then he owes the father some money to make up for the dowry he just wrecked.

It's not like we're saying those who are in/run the Catholic church are sinless. Nor do they have the perfect idea of what/who god is. If you find anybody who does say that, slap him a good dose of reality for me.

I always wondered just why my legs never get mentioned, now I know. My Brother In Law gets married in April and I'll be wearing a Kilt. If I remember I'll post pics of my musclie caves. No up-kilt shots though.
