May 14th, 2004 - Gratuitous Explosions

Two battle reports today with mysteriously similar conclusions - coincidence?  Or is this the natural course of BrikWars events?

Following Nelug's Bubble Gum Crisis battle, Team Villain's notorious leader Evil Mastermind (rumored to be none other than Joe Comeau) has sent out a memo describing the results of the Drastic Urban Meltdown 2003 initiative.  The announcement includes illustrated narration from the front line.

Meanwhile, Hendo and Teddy staged a battle for Moonbase control over at the OurCon convention.  Civilians played a surprisingly non-target-dummy role, but the results of the battle were unchanged, thanks to a quick-thinking soldier's ingenious use of the control tower instruments.

The first was Shaun's medieval "It Takes a Pillage" scenario, in which marauding armies converge on an unsuspecting village in hopes of finding a hidden superweapon.  In a surprise twist, the exhausted combatants discovered that the superweapon could only be controlled by units carrying fried chicken.

To appease the spacers, Wayne staged his "Sanford and Son and the Tox Uthat" on a derelict spacecraft far in the future, with cameos from the stars of many NELUG sci-fi battles in years past.
