In a bout of shameless merchandizing, I tossed a bunch of products up on cafepress.com last year – mostly as a joke, since their clothing selection spans the narrow range from white to a couple of pastels, not exactly the preferred palette for wargamers. I was surprised to see people actually buying them – especially the BrikWars thong, which continues to be the best-selling of the clothing items. But cafepress is finally trying out some new direct printing methods that allow printing on black cloth, so we can finally get a BrikWars shirt in wargaming colors. Take a peek at the BrikWars Pirate T-Shirt. In other black news, Shaun Sullivan has pointed out that black versions of Little Armory’s medieval weapons have been spotted for sale on the Sith’s Toy Box BrickLink store.

Mike - December 17, 2005 - Battle Reports, BrikWars Community
Christmastime is the busiest time of the year for those of us with jobs in the toy industry, which maybe goes partway to explaining why I’m two months behind in answering e-mails – sorry everybody! While I’m trying to work my way through the backlog, check out the latest entry in NELUG’s Year of BrikWars – a re-enactment of the Treaty of Versailles, except that this time it’s between the English and French and naturally everything goes horribly wrong. Also, for everyone writing in about how hard it is to find other BrikWars players in the area, I’ve started up a BrikWars Frappr map. Add a map pin to your location and see who else is around!

Mike - October 31, 2005 - Battle Reports
Halloween is always a special time of year for BrikWars. Besides being BrikWars’ birthday, it also means that it’s time for Shaun and Wayne to pull the big reveal on their annual BW:666 game. This year it’s the Pipton Farmstead Terrors, in which otherworldly creatures take a special opportunity to wipe out the last surviving participant from last year’s Brikington Manor Horrors. Halloween 2005 marks BrikWars’ tenth birthday, so that’ll make our upcoming book a special Tenth Anniversary Edition. Keep your eyes peeled.
