Her Highness Princess Leila la Britannia also serves as the CEO of the Britannian East Indigo Trading Company, per the tradition of royal management of Britannian corporations. Despite her acclaimed beauty and the proposals of many eligible suitors, she is renowned for her refusal of all royal matches in favor of dedicating herself to the development of the company. Strong rumors abound in the royal court of an affair with Lord Hastings, a married man many decades her senior, but to speak of such calumny in Her Highness's presence is death.
His Excellency Lord Hastings is the Governor-General of the Indigo Colonies, 1st Earl of New Calcutta, and Chief Operating Officer of the BEITC. He treats the Indigo Colonies as his own personal fiefdom, wielding the absolute powers of both his political position as Governor-General and his corporate position as COO.

Lady Graves has been a trusted companion and confidant of Queen Victoria V since they were young. A tinkerer for even longer, she serves as the head of the royal engineers.

Grand Admiral and Commander of Her Majesties Armed Forces Lord Oliver Cromwell
A prominent leader in the Britannian League (not to be confused with the Praetorian Admiral Cromwell who commands the Inexorable super-dreadnought). He is the supreme commander of the Britannian Navy and Armed Forces, also serving as the sector admiral for the capital Black Sector.

Commander of the HMS Boadicea and captain of the black watch.
Sir Martin Starr
As the sole Britannian in the sector, Captain Starr is tasked with exploring and mapping the area for the glory of the Empire! His exploits are well known among the Colonies, and rumor has it that Her Undying Majesty has singled him out to marry one of the younger princesses. He gets about by hiring himself out to charming and important young ladies as an "escort". However, his "conquests" are almost as well known as his escapades with that Assyrian laser rifle of his.
