The Medici Bank is the largest bank in the Third Alliance and a major force in the galaxy's financial industry. A business largely controlled by its founding Medici family since its inception in G.R. 1397, the Medici Bank has expanded over the many centuries and offers modern services on par with those of the newer, more upstart banks. It has divisions for private, commercial, retail, and investment banking, as well as a well-known pawnbroker division. The Medici Bank holds majority stake in many textile businesses across Venice, and it has a branch that personally serves the Cuthulic pope. Venice's entry into the Third Alliance marked a major boon and stock rally for Medici Bank shareholders, which then penetrated the national markets of the TA's member nations.
Although the Medici Bank is independent of the Space Mafia, they perform much of the latter's money laundering and financial services needs.
