New to the forum and stuff, and I noticed that muffinman also just posted a redcoat army
But hey, had to post something
So I'm planning on creating a redcoat army.
I've done some research (better known as read wikipedia) and found the numbers of the original army. This was quite a number (22 000).
Well, after reading this, I decided to make a 1/100 version of it
Yes that makes 220 minifigs and I'm a long way from there. xD oh, 235 if you include artillery crew
The plan is this:
12 regiments of 12 redcoat infantrists, each one with a officer.
11 regiments of 6 horses, light cavalry. also all with an officer.
1 regiment of 10 horses, the dragoons, badasses on horseback and on ground.
5 canons with 3 crew members. (this is 1/10 to the real amount, but I thought a half canon would be kinda lame)
1 Hero, general, with a command squad.
Where I am on the moment:
1 Regiment of 12 infantrists

1 regiment of 6 horses, here shown with the general, instead of a complete 6 cavalarists (is that a word?) but it is atm normal unit.

2 canons

Picture from the back.

a bit to small overview picture, but ohwell.

I loved the face of the guy at the store

Ohwell, as the army increases I will post more
Not yet calculated points, thought of certain rulings and stuff, that will come when I have time for it.
EDIT: Well got some more infantry, not really interesting to post
But I looked at the leftover guns I had, as cavalry and artilery men didn't use them, and thought: Hier kan ik echt wel een volley gun mee maken
So, I did.

Gunners reloading it. The telescope/cone thingy represents the gunpowder cone thing. The round stud 1x1 brix are bullets and the stick is the cleaning thingy
Ready to fire.

2nd EDIT:
So I thought: I'm a reasonable painter, I can paint my own green coat.

So I did. The lighting isn't great, so I'll replace it when the sun shines again (best light you'll ever get on this planet)
