While we're on the topics of games, has anyone seen this yet?

I found it while browsing Bricklink, and I'd never heard anything of it before. 12 bananas and a monkey. :D

its a shame they used microfigs, but its a step in the awesome direction IMHO.
and new weapons is always a good thing.

btw did you see the new sabre-holder-thingeys in the potc sets? I like them (mostly because my figs use sabres as their primary CC weapon)
and I like that lego used the same torsos for the soldiers. I know it could be explained as lazy, but why change what already works? now they can blend in with the rest of my brittanian army and the new torso will feature in a new officer character.

if 20 chickens can fit in a brick, how many pingpongballs does a crocodile have to eat so it can swim faster than a washing machine?

WARNING! the following post contains an idea thought up in less than ten seconds, and might not be completely thought through.

I would like to see a dungeoncrawl game in minifig scale. each player would have your fig and a few legodice, and using cards and special powers you would be able to alter the make-up of each fig's dice for a better chance at a high/low score, or special events.

LEGO would sell bigger sets with dungeon pieces, and small sets like the ninjago spinners containing a fig, several weapons/tools/gadgets, some cards, a stat card, and tiles for the lego dice that belong with the fig's powers or the card that come with the set. (not sure if each set should contain a lego die itself, you'd end up with a lot of them. which is of course not necessarily a bad thing)

if the character creation thing turns out to be good an balanced, and the game becomes popular, lego could encourge minifig customisation with some sort of make your own minifig kit, which comes with some printer compatible sticker paper sheets, 5 blank minifigs in several colours (or only head and torso) and a cd with a simple design program. (maybe a professional kit too?)

OH GOD YES.

Btw I hope they expand this Heroica thing into the new castle-esque line after kingdoms. I'd love that.

The new games have a nice piece assortment; I might have to get one.

Also, WHOO GLOVE WORLD!!! Some Spongebob sets would be perfect for Seeworld.

Yes, and now LEGO is working to make their own dungeon crawler.

Don't you see it? Soon they'll move on to wargaming...

FINALLY. Jesus Christ, I must have submitted a million concepts for a dungeon crawler, I'm glad they finally did one. Now I just hopes this sells a million units so they can show enough of a market to make a full-scale minifig version.

Do you think this is what they were building up to all along when they made the boardgames line, so they'd have an excuse to develop and market-test the Lego die elements and microfigs?

It's possible. All they need to do now is drop the nonviolent pretense and they're set. Also: microfigs are good for new heads, at least. They just seem eerily similar to the Hospital 555 staff. Oh god, they're spawning!
It's a secret to everybody.

I've got bad news for you, they're one piece. Even if the head was separate, it's smaller than regular minifig heads, just look at the size of the stud on top compared to the head.
