From what I understand, it is a reboot, starting with the original 6 toa. A quick google search gave me this possible rumor.

But I think a reboot is the way to go. Leave the classics as classics. The story was way too convoluted by the end, and it really was pretty much wrapped up.

I was never big into the books and such, but I enjoyed the ones I read. Also, the early video games. There were a couple of online ones from the first wave, and I still play the old mask of light video game every once in a while.
