The Monolith Battleplates,  also referred to as the Monolith Dimension is an base dimension that was born from the Galaxia Nehellenium during the Ragnablok event. In that galaxy's region known as the Gold Sector had experienced perpetual brutal war at a far higher scale than was normal for the already chaotic Galaxy. Meanwhile, mad scientists had been secretley tampering with the very fabric of reality, and unknowingly ripped a tear in the Multiverse that created a large crystaline entity that would later come to be known as the Monolith.
+
Mir is a planet within a pocket dimension in the Gold Sector. It alongside it's Star, Monolit emerged in the sector after the eponymous "Monolith Event" which in R2018 wiped the entire region clean of all other stars, planets, celestial bodies, and in turn, all other lifeWhile the planet and it's star exist in the sector, their physical location is unknown. Strange and powerful forces have successfuly kept the planet hidden from outside interference. And all travel to and from the planet is managed by a network of proxy portals.

Origin
In the early days of Ragnablok,  the entire Gold Sector, and several neighboring star systems vanished in an instant. Scientists and Politicians argued over the cause of this phenomenon. Few were aware of the Monolith, those that were learned the Crystal had absorbed all energy in the sector to remove itself from that reality and boost itself into a new one... Elsewhere, outsiders that were left behind in Nehellenium would argue that the Gold Sector had been either saved and taken to brikheaven,  or punished and taken to brikhell. In a way, both were true.

The Monolith Battleplates are a seemingly, and yet to be disproved infinite collection of baseplates that goes on forever in every direction. Quarreled over by endless factions of Minifigs, Beastfigs, Demons, Mutants, Supernatural entities and brainwashed agents of the Monolith itselfThe forces of the battleplates constantly fight over territory, recruits, resources and artifakts in order to further fuel their love of combat.  The most powerful artifakts allow the leaders of these factions to open portals to other realms, and magikally or teknologically inclined outsiders can also open portals to the Monolith Battleplates and raid it for it's own resources.

Teleportation and Travel
The Monolith Battleplates consist of hundreds if not thousands of groupings of baseplates, The majority of which house little civilization or stability. Minifigs on the edges of these plates can utilize personal teleporters to move between plates seperated by voidspace, however doing so is not always reliable. Baseplates will often reject too many minifigs on them at once. Forcing clans and factions to resort to other means to get minifigs on the ground, The use of fleet ships that fly through voidspace, over and past other plates like a conventional transport and teleport hubs that increase the stability of teleporters from the owned faction. Teleport hubs are so essential to controlling a plate, that during sieges they are often the primary target of both sides. Serious battles over a plate will often resort to stopping the other side from being able to reinforce the region, and the rest is down to attrition.

Any minifig that has passed through an L-Gate will reincarnate at the nearest friendly gate, meaning for the most part, dying is no consequence, nor is killing the enemy going to stop them. Just slow them down, So the objective of plate warfare is to make it too frustrating to attempt.

 +
While Mir's existence appears to be of artificial or intelligent design, the planet itself is plagued by a massive ecological disaster in the form of radioactive energy crystal infestations, not to mention the damage done by it's inhabitants through the course of several surface conflicts.

Supernatural Phenomenon
It is known that the plates is subject to a wide and wild range of natural and unnatural phenomenon.  While the entire realm is a complete perversion of the "Natural" State,  much of it's territory appears to be "normal" by planetary standards,  however there are some regions that appear to be taken straight out of the worst circles of a brikhell. Regions with supernatural and paranormal events not unlike those witnessed in Outer Haven in the Galaxia Nehellenium, but on a much higher, and more intense scale.  These regions are downright terrifying for Minifigs, and only the hardiest and bravest dare venture into them.  Pretty much anything that can be imagined, can happen in these regions, they are notorious for being radioactive, psionically volatile,  extreme temperatures,  disastrous weather,  and swarming with mutants and other horrors

Immortality
+
Timeline
The Monolith plates exhibit a supernatural phenomenon called L-Gates, or Lazarus Gates, Minifigs that pass through a gate just once,  upon death will find themselves reconstructed at an L-Gate via some kind of magic or tek construct, although not immediately, This still means that a minifig or hero killed in a battle is effectively removed from play,  however depending on the circumstances, in a large enough battle a minifig may expect to see themselves resurrected and shipped off to fight in the same field they got melted, only earlier that day.

Lazarus gates are often sought after by large clans and factions as they can be configured to route the dead of a chosen group to them, effectively making casualties come out at a home base of sorts. Still, a large percentage of Minifigs will come out of "Wild Gates", completely naked in the wilderness,  and often attacked by wild animals or other ravenous minifigs. For an unlucky minifig, they can sometimes die a few times in a single day before getting out of the cycle. Minifigs that leave the Monolith plates, but have still passed through an L-Gate, will find themselves brought back to the plates if killed elsewhere, even another dimension.

Exceptions to the Rule
+
{| class="wikitable"
One exception exists to the Lazarus gates, Dark Energy.  Weapons imbued with Dark Energy, while few and far between, are capable of permanentley killing minifigs even if they passed through an L-Gate. Tampering or damaging L-Gates has also proven to disrupt the process, and it will cause some minifigs killed, to be killed permanentley, although due to the random, scattered nature of how the L-gates work,  Destroying an L-Gate may cause random minifigs who were in the process of being reconstructed, to not come back.  The Monolith Crystal takes exception to tampering of the L-Gates, and will often strike back with extreme prejudice against minifigs trying to disrupt the Un-natural order of things... usually by mind controlling minifigs to attack them, summoning demons, or other calamities.

Regions & Locales
Alpha Plate
Monolith Alpha is the Legendary endless baseplate of the Monolith Battleplates

It is known for being difficult to reach. Populated by extremely deadly anomalies and hostile life. And also possesses infinite resources. Thus it is a highly sought after albeit dangerous region for minifigs to set up expeditions and supply bases.

It Is also linked to its sister baseplate, Omega

Omega Plate
Monolith Omega is a tiny, dark and cold baseplate that exists in an unknown region of voidspace,  and is hidden by powerful psionic energy fields. Omega is the home of the Monolith Crystal. As of year R2019, aside from being summoned by the Monolith crystal itself, no means of travel have been found.

| A very large faction that makes use of hardened shock troops, large vehicle formations and elite special forces. The Imperiya is lead by a pair of Legendary commanders supported by several skilled generals and officers under their command. The Imperiya as a group acts as a force of Order, They lay claim over large swathes of territory and tax the residents in exchange for protection. If the locals cannot pay, they will usually agree to provide compensation in another form such as labor or levies for their Army, Those who do not pay the tribute are usually evicted from their land, but sometimes are made an example of and are flattened by an Imperiya Armiya assault.

The Imperiya cares little for the agendas of other factions, So long as they aren't disturbed, they usually leave others alone, and smart groups know to keep their distance from the behemoth faction. They are however bitter enemies of the Pact, and none too friendly with Armata and the Syndicate as well

The continents and isolated plate worlds of Mir are home to hundreds of thousands of minifigs and individuals of other races.  While information is only available for the Realm's largest continent, Serica. It is known that some populations exist all over the realm in areas that are yet uncontacted.

Most of the population lives in the central "green" regions of Serica, safe from ecological disaster  although smaller communities and settlements exist scattered across the wastes and wild territories. =Special Resources=
+
Resources & Economy
While the Battleplate is theoretically infinite, and would mean theoretical infinite resources. Minifig factions, settlements and cities still fight over resources because gathering said infinite resources requires a lot of time to explore and find them.
+
Much of the realm now lies in ruins, a shadow of it's former self, however bleak the denizens of the realm are still able to make use of advanced tek from ancient elder civilizations that came before. A few key resources and devices have led to the particular way of life in the Realm, which as created it's own ways of warfare, industry, and trade

Aside from the standard ABS materials, the Battleplate is home to several special resources that are used for weapons, energy generation, special components and other necessary requirements for the buildings and vehicles they make for themselves

* Tibinium: A bright green crystaline mineral that can be used for a wide range of applications.
+
Nanoforges
* Monolithium: Small Radioactive blue crystals that emit forcefield properties, crucial to development of shields
+
Elder Nanoforges are complex machines created by ancient civilization that essentially act as advanced 3D Printers. Powered by Neon and fueled by Tibinium and Vortek crystals, Nanoforges are used to process a set of instructions transmitted wirelessly from faraway servers housing the schematics to produce practically anything an engineer or builder would need,  Standard briks, and even weapons can be produced with forges. However additional materials may be required depending on the project, like Mantle or Beryl
* Pinkium: A jagged pink rock that exhibits transformational qualities, critical to the development of teleportation devices

* Unobtanium: A glow in the dark material that when met with the right reagent, becomes invisible, used in stealth technology

Artifakts
+
Nanoforges can be scaled up or down,  it's not uncommon to see small commercial level forges used in small stores. While the tek is highly proliferated, the schematics for products are jealously guarded by corporations, militaries, and private owners. Anyone who owns a schematic will often charge others to download them, either as a one time, or per use basis. This business model makes up a large portion of the Economy and Industry of the realm. The industrial scale forges are in limited supply, less than 2000 still exist in the realm. The knowledge on how to build and repair them has been lost with the departure of the Elders in R2020.  Meaning Governments and Corporations that control them have even more influence over the economy of Mir.

Artifakts are extremely rare and powerful items that grant the user special powers or abilities. They come in two varieties. Natural, and Crafted.

Natural Artifakts are perhaps a misleading description for "naturally" occuring phenomenon found in the wild. While Granted Artifakts are usually some sort of weapon, armor or device that has been rewarded to a minifig by a Battleplate God.
