Mir is an alternate dimension portrayed as a single, enormous terrestrial world only accessible by portal. Much of the realm is in a state of ecological disaster and social collapse, it's denizens making use of everything from Highly sophisticated tek acquired from precursor civilizations, to wasteland junk contraptions made where resources are scarce and everything in between. The realm is also known to be home to many practitioners of various schools of Magik.
+
Mir is a planet within a pocket dimension in the Gold Sector. It alongside it's Star, Monolit emerged in the sector after the eponymous "Monolith Event" which in R2018 wiped the entire region clean of all other stars, planets, celestial bodies, and in turn, all other life.  While the planet and it's star exist in the sector, their physical location is unknown. Strange and powerful forces have successfuly kept the planet hidden from outside interference. And all travel to and from the planet is managed by a network of proxy portals.

While Mir's existence appears to be of artificial or intelligent design, the planet itself is plagued by a massive ecological disaster in the form of radioactive energy crystal infestations, not to mention the damage done by it's inhabitants through the course of several surface conflicts.

Ancient History
Long before the current era, Mir comprised of thousands of "Plate Worlds" Dominated by the Serican Empire, a society of Opulent magik-wielding Elites. The Majority of the realms peoples were enslaved or otherwise under the influence of the Sericans, who were regarded as Royalty. However the Serican dominance would eventually be challenged in a series of events known only as the 'Uprising', a series of rebellions as many races attempted to break the yoke of their oppressors. The largest contingent would be of the "Commoner" Minifigs, eventually securing freedom from their oppressors, forcing them to retreat from the realm's mainlands back to where they came from. More moderate Serican factions would try to integrate themselves into the governments that formed from their former servants. But this would be short lived, Eventually after repeated conflict across the Realm, with a few exceptions, the majority of the Realm's former masters have died out or dissapeared, but leaving behind their Tek for the young to abuse.

Recent History
Despite the removal of Serican rule from the realm, Mir broke down into dozens of States, Factions and other groups.  The absence of the former Stewards caused an uncontrolled ecological disasters and power vacuums led to constant competition and fighting over the Mainland and other continents. The mainland specifically has become equal parts Utopia of Civilization, and ravaged warzone. With the realm's strongest state, the Slavonik Imperiya trying to wrestle control of the region from Death Cultists,  Fiercely independent city states,  and Serican Remnants aligned with extradimensional visitors.

File:Mirhis6.png|The first years of Post-Serican Mir were largely defined by the rise of the Slavonik Imperiya, A centralized Mainland "reclamation" government that tried to build a safe society in the anarchist wastelands that became the Mainland.  The era was also defined by the conflicts said Empire found itself apart of.

File:Mirhis4.png|The first major war on the mainland in this era would be between the Imperiya, and an Alliance of settlements in the Bratva Bay region who did not wish to surrender their soverignty to a power far removed from their homes. The war between the Imperiya and Stroiteliga Bratva would end in a ceasefire, but would for the most part remain unresolved to this day.

File:Mirhis5.png|The other defining contributor to present day Mir, would be the emergence of multiple Magik Weilding Cults and psychopaths who eventually grew into an Alliance of Terror known as the Dominion of Ruin, The Armies of Ruin have essentially left much of the Mainland in a state of total war in trying to repel them, while the forces of Ruin themselves seek nothing but the undoing of everything that has been built.

File:Mbobelder.jpg|Faced with defeat and failure at every step since being removed from power by the Uprising many years ago, What remained of the Sericans either died, fled, or regressed into bickering nobles trying to protect their fiefdoms and treasure hoards,  At least one Dynasty successfully managed to integrate with the others, being the Ordo Omega. ===Diplomacy & Politics===

Interdimensional Portals Opened<br>

Interdimensional Travel between Mir and the outside Brikverse has been open for some time now, though only three factions possess such portals. However the only one capable of teleporting anything more than personnel or small cargo is in the control of the Imperiya, who may for the most part, dictate what is allowed and prohibited within the realm.  Magik is heavily policed, and even mighty empires from outside the realm who are operating within it, are forced to work with what they build there, not what they bring with them.

Foreign Involvement<br>

The Ordo Omega have joined forces with the outsider alliance known as the Rubrum Crucesignatis and jointly built their own portal, allowing both to move persons and supplies between dimensions unimpeded by Imperiya Authorities, this has contributed to what has essentially become trafficking of magikal items which are heavily policed by the Imperiya's "Interdimensional Customs". And things have degraded to the point that the Imperiya has formed UNAMIR, an alliance of "Nativists" dedicated to protecting the realm from dangerous outside influences. And two now are essentially locked in a Cold War, any escalation of the conflict could well destroy much of civilization in the realm. All while the forces of Ruin continue to attack practically everyone, and smaller governments are on the verge of collapsing every day of the week.

Imperial Internal Woes<br>

The Slavonik Imperiya while the undisputed central power of the realm, is experiencing early warning signs that they could be headed towards an internal conflict. The UNAMIR Alliance is failing, and Imperial Society is crippled by class struggle, The citizenry is largely unrepresented and unempowered, completely beholden to their municipal and regional governors.  The governors are controlled by the Nobles, Mystic Council and Military elite in the Stavka, who are all at odds with each other as to who is in charge of whom. And to top it all off, the Crown Authority, which represents the Imperial Tsar, is trying to give itself more power and establish a clear hierarchy instead of the current system they have now with the office of the Mystic Council technically holding the same authority as the Imperial Tsar themselves.

Conflict & War
West Chita Cordon<br>

In the Southwest of Imperiya territory lies the city of Chita, relatively unremarkable other than for being a city directly across the river from Ordo Omega territory, The city has fallen into chaos as an armed uprising has occured among the citizenry. At first it was believed to simply be citizens angry over the Imperiya's habit of disenfranchising the commoners, but quickly it became apparent that the rebels held Pro-Ordo and Pro-Magik Sympathies, untold amounts of weapons as well as incognito RC forces slipped into the region over the course of a few months, quickly ousting the regional Reserve Army,  Around the same time an unrelated conflict broke out in the same city as Syndikat PMCs violentley resisted local Authorities when they attempted to confiscate illegal Serican artifakts from their employer's posession. Resulting in a huge escalation that saw scores of PMCs practically occupying parts of the city, fighting with local Authorities, The Insurgents, and Imperiya Black Ops units who were inserted to investigate and combat them.  Most of the City and surrounding region has been Cordoned off by the Imperiya Military, and the territory has become so unstable and devastated that Imperiya Authorities have essentially forfeited their government over that region. What remains is an absolute clusterfuck of a warzone where the only goal is to survive, and get out.

Imperial invasion of the League<br>

The ceasefire has failed and Imperial Army units have renewed their aggression against the SLB in the Bratva Bay after an attempted mantle-bombing in the recently Annexed territories.  The League maintains that this was a false flag operation, but the Imperial authority has closed all avenues of communication and declared their intention to "retake" possession of the entire territory. The conflict has already been extremely bloody, and members of the Nord Sea Alliance have threatened to intervene on the League's behalf as one of Mir's last functioning democracies. Both parties have threatened to use Mantle-Missiles against each other.

Xind Incursions<br>

While very small scale, Raiders from the continent of Xindra have started to appear and pillage parts of the Leviathan Coast on the Mainland, however their proximity to Ruin Territories has largely kept them from exploring further or bringing them into any notable conflict with any of the proper governments of the Mainland

File:Mirhis7.png|As of late, there has been a renewed dash for Serican Elder Artifakts by many factions, The Black Legion has been especially zealous about finding them.

File:Mirhis10.png|With the majority of their attention divided elsewhere, Imperial Authority in the numerous frontier zones is being managed by Militias and provincial militaries, they have frequently fought amongst themselves

File:Mirhis11.png|The Situation in Chita has been especially shocking as a city well inside secured Imperiya territory seemed to explode into a multi faceted clusterfuck over the course of a few weeks. The entire city is regarded as lost, and those who remain are locked in a fight just as brutal and savage as what is occuring in the Angel's Gate.  And the whole thing had next to nothing to do with any major enemy power.

Ecological
Regions and Territories
Mir was previously a scattered collection of thousands of isolated plate worlds, only traversable by portals and starships.  In R2021 however the vast majority of plates were merged together when Mages activated an Elder Engine that turned most of the realm into a traditional, albeit enormous terrestrial world separated into 4 large continents, and countless islands.  Traversable by water, air or teleportation.

*Serican Isles (Pronounciation: Sare-Ikan) are a pair of Islands roughly in the center of the realm. They are the ancient homeland of the Serican Empire, a precursor civilization that once ruled the entirety of the realm.  Since their fall and exodus, the Serican Isles themselves have been left uninhabitable.  Their previous occupants left behind an army of "bioweapons" to butcher and eat any would be looters of their sacred home.  Since then various military groups have essentially glassed the isles to kill off the monsters there. Unfortunately destroying everything else in the process.

*Slavonika (Pronounciation: Slah-vonn-ika) Also referred to as the Mainland, is the largest, and oldest of the realm's Lands. Roughly a third of it's landmass is greenland. while the other two thirds are wasteland of one form or another.  The continent is unique in that it is the only one infested with Ichor crystals.  Due to the turbulent history of the continent, a considerable portion of it's landmass is considered to be "Wild Territory". Undeveloped and Uninhabited by no more than small groups of scavengers. It is home to Minifigs, Canids, Avians, Gators, Hives and a tiny population of Serican remnants.

*Xindra (Pronounciation: Zin-dra) is the second largest of the realm's lands. Almost the entire continent is desert and wasteland, Living things can only scratch out an existence around the coasts. While not touched by Ichor crystal infestation, the continent is still largely inhospitable and uninhabitable.  It's population consists of Xind, Kar'shan and Plasmen

*Kryena (Pronounciation: Kry-eena) Is a smaller , habitable continent populated by dozens of different minifig nations. Most have banded together into one of two regional powers. The civilizations of this region largely keep to themselves and rarely venture outward.

*Nordica (Pronounciation: Nordica) Is another smaller, habitable continent that was populated by colonists from Kryena, It is largely peaceful with no war since it's initial colonial period.

Most of the population lives in the central "green" regions of Serica, safe from ecological disaster  although smaller communities and settlements exist scattered across the wastes and wild territories. While Minifigs make up the majority of the population, there are known to be more than a dozen races on Serica alone, including some who have Migrated from Xindra and other continents.

The Gifted Nobility
+
Governments, Alliances & Faction Entities
During the rule of the Sericans, their Empire was a feudal hierarchy of aristocrats who possessed rare and extremely powerful psychic abilities. These abilities were referred to as "The Gift" and could only be passed on hereditarily, or by a special bestowment ceremony usually given to special servants as a reward.  These Psychic, or Psionik Abilities are considered to be a similar but seperate form of Magik, and include a wide range of powers that can influence other beings' minds.

The Sericans used their powers to play themselves as dieties to the ignorant commoners, who followed and worshipped them as gods. Eventually the Gift had been given to too many individuals. Even when the Serican Empire fell, the Psionik Gift was still scattered among the population.  And eras later, a number of societies and civilizations still have some form of Gifted Nobility.  The Serican Empire may have collapsed, and the secrets of their Tek may be lost, but the power they used to abuse and oppress others still lives on.

While the Slavonik Imperiya is considered to be the central, most powerful, and therefor most influential government of the realm. Mir itself is torn between several ideologies and alliances.  Each Government or ruling party only has Authority in the regions which they directly control.

Anyone who owns a schematic will often charge others to download them, either as a one time, or per use basis. This business model makes up a large portion of the Economy and Industry of the realm. The industrial scale forges are in limited supply, less than 2000 still exist in the realm. The knowledge on how to build and repair them has been lost with the departure of the Elders in R2020.  Meaning Governments and Corporations that control them have even more influence over the economy of Mir.

Ichor
The creation of ABS, Of which every vehicle, building, weapon, and appliance is made. Relies on a device known as a Forge. These machines convert rare magikal crystals into malleable matter which is then transformed into whatever the producer needs. The knowledge of creating such forges has been lost to time, a secret of the Elders.  And so the need to preserve both the machines, and a constant supply of materials for them have grown immeasurably.

The transparent crystals come in various strains and colors, but as a whole are referred to as "Ichor", meaning "Blood of the Gods". a name given to them by irrational nutjobs, but it managed to stick.

After the fall of the Sericans, and the dwindling supplies of Ichor crystals, Careless magik users attempted to artificially grow the reserves of the crystals, the experiment backfired and caused an ecological disaster that would make Ichor fields sprout all across the mainland.  Those who controlled Elder Forges would have no shortage of fuel, however the crystals themselves began to destroy the environment. Countless regions were overrun by the crystals and making it difficult to sustain life.

Minifig Civilization

The continents and isolated plate worlds of Mir are home to hundreds of thousands of minifigs and individuals of other races. While information is only available for the Realm's largest continent, Serica. It is known that some populations exist all over the realm in areas that are yet uncontacted.

Resources & Economy

Much of the realm now lies in ruins, a shadow of it's former self, however bleak the denizens of the realm are still able to make use of advanced tek from ancient elder civilizations that came before. A few key resources and devices have led to the particular way of life in the Realm, which as created it's own ways of warfare, industry, and trade

Nanoforges

Elder Nanoforges are complex machines created by ancient civilization that essentially act as advanced 3D Printers. Powered by Neon and fueled by Tibinium and Vortek crystals, Nanoforges are used to process a set of instructions transmitted wirelessly from faraway servers housing the schematics to produce practically anything an engineer or builder would need, Standard briks, and even weapons can be produced with forges. However additional materials may be required depending on the project, like Mantle or Beryl

Nanoforges can be scaled up or down, it's not uncommon to see small commercial level forges used in small stores. While the tek is highly proliferated, the schematics for products are jealously guarded by corporations, militaries, and private owners.
