'''Great Omega Plate'''

Monolith Omega is the Legendary endless baseplate of the Monolith Region, it exists on the edge of the  Plate clusters. And extends out into perpetuity.

It is known for being difficult to reach. Populated by extremely deadly anomalies and hostile life. And also possesses infinite resources. Thus it is a highly sought after albeit dangerous region for minifigs to set up expeditions and supply bases.

'''Zeta Plate'''

The Zeta plate is a tiny, dark and cold baseplate that exists in an unknown region of voidspace,  and is hidden by powerful psionic energy fields. Zeta is the home of the Monolith Crystal. As of year R2019, aside from being summoned by the Monolith crystal itself, no means of travel have been found.

The Monolyth Battleplates, also referred to as the Monolyth Realm is an baseplate Realm that was born from the Galaxia Nehellenium during the Ragnablok event. In that galaxy's region known as the Gold Sector had experienced perpetual brutal war at a far higher scale than was normal for the already chaotic Galaxy. Meanwhile, mad scientists had been secretley tampering with the very fabric of reality, and unknowingly ripped a tear in the Multiverse that created a large crystaline entity that would later come to be known as the Monolith. The Monolith destroyed most of the sector and rearranged it in the Battle Plates Dimension, a new realm within the dimension called the Monolyth Battleplates

Origin

In the early days of Ragnablok, the entire Gold Sector, and several neighboring star systems vanished in an instant From a Resonance cascade caused by the Mysterious Monolith Crystal. Scientists and Politicians argued over the cause of this phenomenon. Few were aware of the Monolith, those that were learned the Crystal had absorbed all energy in the sector to remove itself from that reality and boost itself into a new one... Elsewhere, outsiders that were left behind in Nehellenium would argue that the Gold Sector had been either saved and taken to brikheaven, or punished and taken to brikhell. In a way, both were true.

The Monolith Battleplates Consist of three "layers" of plates, The main being a series of about a hundred thousand baseplates, but existing in a different plane of reality, another Infinite landmass plate as well as a third, mythical plate that houses the Monolith crystal. Quarreled over by endless factions of Minifigs, Beastfigs, Demons, Mutants, Supernatural entities and brainwashed agents of the Monolith itself. The forces of the battleplates constantly fight over territory, recruits, resources and artifakts in order to further fuel their love of combat. The most powerful artifakts allow the leaders of these factions to open portals to other realms, and magikally or teknologically inclined outsiders can also open portals to the Monolith Battleplates and raid it for it's own resources. The endless plate, known as the Omega Plate is the primary target of most of these raids, due to it's infinite resources.

Teleportation and Travel

The Monolith Battleplates consist of hundreds if not thousands of groupings of baseplates, The majority of which house little civilization or stability. Minifigs on the edges of these plates can utilize personal teleporters to move between plates seperated by voidspace, however doing so is not always reliable. Baseplates will often reject too many minifigs on them at once. Forcing clans and factions to resort to other means to get minifigs on the ground, The use of fleet ships that fly through voidspace, over and past other plates like a conventional transport and teleport hubs that increase the stability of teleporters from the owned faction. Teleport hubs are so essential to controlling a plate, that during sieges they are often the primary target of both sides. Serious battles over a plate will often resort to stopping the other side from being able to reinforce the region, and the rest is down to attrition.

Any minifig that has passed through an L-Gate will reincarnate at the nearest friendly gate, meaning for the most part, dying is no consequence, nor is killing the enemy going to stop them. Just slow them down, So the objective of plate warfare is to make it too frustrating to attempt.

Supernatural Phenomenon

Across the Monolith Regions, Individual plates from various clusters are known to exhibit supernatural or magikal phenomenon, Extreme temperatures, deadly anomalies, psionic disturbances, interruptions of space time, Weird land formations, mutants, demons and all sorts of other hazards dot the various plates across the dimension.

The Omega and Zeta plates, which themselves are both single baseplate regions, also exhibit extreme cases of anomalies. While the Zeta plate itself is of mythic status and is said to house an all powerful crystalline deity. The Omega plate exists on a plane entirely separate from the rest of the Monolith Clusters. An infinite landmass of both idyllic paradise and uninhabitable brikhell

The Administration

Based in a floating city called the "Alpha Hub", exists a council of Magik using Minifigs known as Viceroys, Minifigs who have been granted special powers to hold over the others with Together they form a group known simply as the "Administrators". The Viceroys generally administer a few clusters within the realm, each cluster istelf could house thousands of baseplates, and therefore home to tens or hundreds of thousands of Minifigs.. They are comparable to Minor gods, with the power to grant Artifakts to glorious champions, Influence minifigs to do things to one another for their amusement, or even bicker and battle with other Viceroys, causing minifigs from one plate or cluster of plates, to attack anothers.

However the Viceroys do not normally interfere or otherwise get involved with the lowly worries of non magikal beings. Instead, they appoint Mortal minifigs to be their "Barons" and ensure that certain laws to the universe are upheld, And that certain areas are kept safe for the Viceroy's own mysterious agendas. Other than that, These Land barons are little more than mayors and Landlords. And the vast majority of them never even get to interact with their Viceroy.

Lazarus Effect

The Monolith plates exhibit a supernatural phenomenon called the Lazarus effect, where Minifigs can come back to life in another location after dying. Simply by passing through an enchanted structure known as Lazarus Gates or L-Gates , Minifigs will be added to a "network" of sorts and upon death will find themselves able to spawn at another L-Gate, although not immediately, This still means that a minifig or hero killed in a battle is effectively removed from play, however depending on the circumstances, in a large enough battle a minifig may expect to see themselves resurrected and shipped off to fight in the same field they got melted, only earlier that day.

Lazarus gates are often sought after by large clans and factions as they can be configured to route the dead of a chosen group to them, effectively making casualties come out at a home base of sorts. Still, a large percentage of Minifigs will come out of "Wild Gates", completely naked in the wilderness, and often attacked by wild animals or other ravenous minifigs. For an unlucky minifig, they can sometimes die a few times in a single day before getting out of the cycle. Minifigs that leave the Monolith plates, but have still passed through an L-Gate, will find themselves brought back to the plates if killed elsewhere, even another dimension. However a minifig from outside of the dimension, will not experience the immortality effect unless they have first passed through an L-Gate. As a result, the Monolith Plates experience a boom of "Immortality Tourism". Where hundreds of Minifigs will attempt to teleport into a plate housing a gate, and rush to it in an attempt to enter to gain the immortality. Particularly evil minifigs will often intercept, and kill these invaders encroaching on their "holy land"

Exceptions to the Rule

One exception exists to the Lazarus gates, Dark Energy. Weapons imbued with Dark Energy, while few and far between, are capable of permanentley killing minifigs even if they passed through an L-Gate. Tampering or damaging L-Gates has also proven to disrupt the process, and it will cause some minifigs killed, to be killed permanentley, although due to the random, scattered nature of how the L-gates work, Destroying an L-Gate may cause random minifigs who were in the process of being reconstructed, to not come back. The Viceroys take extreme offense to the tampering or destruction of the gates, and will often send armies under their command to stop them.

Plate Cluster Controller Info Notable Plates
Alpha Administration Authority,

Land Baron Alliance

While sparsely populated, the Alpha sector comprises of most of the largest and most developed Cities and other locations. It's borders are defended by Armies loyal to the Land Barons. It is here in the Alpha plates where the infrastructure both industrial and economical, exists so that all the other Plates can continue on in their daily mayhem and confusion. If it weren't for the markets and factories of the Alpha Plates, Minifigs would fight with sticks and stones across the battleplates, seeing as factories are burnt to a crisp as fast as they're set up.
Beta OSKOM Reasonably developed and home to many peaceful settlements, the Beta Plates are a temperate/arid cluster known for being the stronghold of OSKOM, who pledged to unite and defend the towns and cities of the region from all the nasties outside. Resulting in the region becoming a glorified refugee camp. Mignia,
Gamma Imperiya Known locally as the "Stronghold", the Gamma Plates are widely devoid of civilization, except for the dozens of Military bases and installationsacross the region owned by the Imperiya faction. The few towns and cities on the plates are administrated by Imperiya installed leaders. The Gamma plates are home to Fort Khrabrost, the headquarters of Imperiya, for which it's respective plate gets it's name. The L-Gates in this region are rigorously policed, With the exception of "Recruitment zones", any minifig not a citizen of an Imperiya city is immediately killed upon exiting the gate. Khrabrost,
Delta Vorhut
Epsilon Black Legion
Eta Black Legion Many of the baseplates of the Epsilon region have been razed to the ground in the various Campaigning done by the Black Legion. The region also houses one of the few regularly active Dimensional Portals, which the Legion uses to raid other dimensions, but it also tends to attract Minifigs from other dimensions back into the Battleplate realm, Black Legion sorcerers have made short work of many a raiding party from other dimensions like the Galaxia Nehellenium

Known Factions

Faction Mission Leader Notes
Monimp2.png
Imperiya
Establish Security and Order. And crush anyone who stands in their way Sergachev & Varone A very large faction that makes use of hardened shock troops, large vehicle formations and elite special forces. The Imperiya is lead by a pair of Legendary commanders supported by several skilled generals and officers under their command. The Imperiya as a group acts as a force of Order, They lay claim over large swathes of territory and tax the residents in exchange for protection. If the locals cannot pay, they will usually agree to provide compensation in another form such as labor or levies for their Army, Those who do not pay the tribute are usually evicted from their land, but sometimes are made an example of and are flattened by an Imperiya Armiya assault.

The Imperiya cares little for the agendas of other factions, So long as they aren't disturbed, they usually leave others alone, and smart groups know to keep their distance from the behemoth faction. They are however bitter enemies of OSKOM, and none too friendly with Armata and the Syndicate as well

They are the successors of Galacia

Monvor.png
Vorhut
Cleanse the impure and defend the purity and sanctity of Minifig Kind Jericho Their name, meaning "Vanguard". Vorhut is a clan of purist crusaders who view the battleplates as a plane of brikhell, and that minifigs are sent there as punishment, their purpose in the great Battleplates to rid the plane of Mutants, Bandits and Anarchists. They typically do not bother with neutral settlements unless they're known to he harboring enemy forces. And they will typically not bother with taxing or extorting settlements, the most they will attempt is to recruit from their townsfolk. They seek the utter destruction of the entire battleplates and for all to return to the reality they once came from. They are bitter enemies with Svoboda and The Damned Legions. In early R2019 they also began harrassing Armata over the "Impurity" of their group, accusing mutants of hiding in their ranks.

They are the successors of Varyag

Monsvo.png
Svoboda
Live free, and share the gifts of the battleplates to all minifig kind Mikhiluka Their name, meaning "Freedom", Svoboda is a clan of anarchists, daredevils and shit-disturbers. They view the existence of the battleplates as a gift to minifig kind, and wish to see it's gifts shared with the rest of the Brikverse. They typically leave others alone, and aside from blasting annoying recruitment propaganda, they don't interfere with neutrals either. They roam the lands in small groups, constantly on the run from groups like Vorhut and Imperiya. Due to a shared rivalry with Vorhut, Svoboda and Armata are unofficial Allies

They are the successors of the Triangular State

Monarm.png
Armata
Fight for the rights of the ostracized and those affected by "change" on the plates. Pracka Armata is a larger faction with a developed combat force that frequentley fights against the Imperiya and the Damned Legions, often over valuable resource territories used to build their bases. Armata tends to project itself as the protector of the ostracized, which is a more broad term to indicate peaches and other abnormals. They were once only a rival of Imperiya, but saw themselves the target of hostility from Vorhut, and as a result they often fight one another. This brought them into a common cause with Svoboda, as well.

They are the successors of the Peacheneg Armata Coalition

Moncol.png
Echelon
Collect and protect hidden knowledge and artifakts. Novus The Echelon is a smaller group that behaves similarly to the Imperiya, passively exerting it's power onto the neutral settlements in order to amass wealth of resources. They are particularly interested in hoarding anomalous artifakts and are one of the few groups to frequently venture into other dimensions.

They are the successors of Volhinya

Blkleg2.png
Black Legion
Serve the Dark Gods, and the Damned, Maim, kill burn! Charon The Black Legion is a warband of pirates, raiders, and other battle hardened murderous thugs. They are known to prey on neutral settlements as a primary target, stealing resources, kidnapping women and burning towns and cities to the ground and causing other general grief, as well as launch brutal attacks on other faction's outposts and bases. They are known to frequentley fight amoungst themselves, and often have more moderate, less hardcore groups break off from their warband and form smaller opposing groups of scum. Their Dark Gods.. or "Chernobog" Consist of both Brikthulu risque deities and constructs created by the Monolith. If enough minifigs believe in something, Monolith usually makes it so.. and thus by proxy the Black Legion is one of the Monoliths most effective assets albeit totally unaware of its machinations

Monfpa.png
OSKOM
Protect the innocent, and ensure stability in what little society exists on the plates. Vaclav OSKOM is one of the largest factions active on the battleplates, comprising of well equipped, experienced troops with an array of weapons and vehicles. And Founded by ex-members of the old Alliance faction, OSKOM started as a "Self Defense" group that sought to protect the freedom of the neutral settlements from aggressive military groups. They evolved into a signifigant military power that was capable of going toe to toe with many of their rivals. They typically oppose any group that harrasses neutrals, especially those in or around their claimed territory.

They are the successors of the Systems Conglomerate

Monsyn.png
Syndikat
Sabotage and spy on the other factions, steal their tek, their artifakts and their Leaders. Trust no one. Unknown The Syndicate is a shadowy organization with nefarious motives. Running secret blacksites, raids to destroy enemy facilities, and heists to steal artifakts and other special items. the Syndicate are masters of Stealth, subterfuge and infiltration, their units often utilize cloaking technology. And they are known for using infiltrators to sabotage enemy bases. Their antics have brought them into conflict primarily with Echelon for their collection of Artifakts and advanced technology. But they also sometimes conflict with OSKOM and Imperiya due to their own wealth. They are traditionally hostile to almost everyone, but have a particularly solid beef with Echelon, jealous of their artifakts and always on the hunt to steal them.

They are the successors of the Chernarusyn Star Federation

Other Groups

Faction Leader Notes
Law.PNG
Law Enforcers
City Leaders The Lazy, Dishonorable pacifists that fell to the vices of materialism and beauracracy, known as "Governments" are few and far between on the Battleplate, however large groupings of minifigs grew their villages into towns, and then into cities. And these cities had rules for all of their inhabitants. A perverse concept called "Law". Uniformed goons known as Lawmen, Law enforcers, or Police occupy the cities and act as a physical embodiement of the Government's Laws. Although they're just as much of a "threat" to the civilians as they are to potential attackers of cities

Special Resources

While the Battleplate is theoretically infinite, and would mean theoretical infinite resources. Minifig factions, settlements and cities still fight over resources because gathering said infinite resources requires a lot of time to explore and find them.

Aside from the standard ABS materials, the Battleplate is home to several special resources that are used for weapons, energy generation, special components and other necessary requirements for the buildings and vehicles they make for themselves

  • Tibinium: A bright green crystaline mineral that can be used for a wide range of applications.
  • Monolithium: Small Radioactive blue crystals that emit forcefield properties, crucial to development of shields
  • Pinkium: A jagged pink rock that exhibits transformational qualities, critical to the development of teleportation devices
  • Unobtanium: A glow in the dark material that when met with the right reagent, becomes invisible, used in stealth technology

Artifakts

Artifakts are extremely rare and powerful items that grant the user special powers or abilities. They come in two varieties. Natural, and Artificial.

Natural Artifakts are perhaps a misleading description for "naturally" occuring phenomenon found in the wild. While Artificial Artifakts are usually some sort of weapon, armor or device that was created or imbued with special power.

Natural Artificial
Occurence rare, but artifakts are not unique, more than one of each can be found in the wild Extremely rare, Each artifakt is unique
Stability Less stable, may carry both positive and negative effects. High chance of violent reaction if used or stored improperly More stable, often grants the user immediate and flawless power
Value Often bought and sold on black markets for varying sums Too precious and valuable to trade. Minifigs fight to the death to keep possession of these Artifakts
Power Typically low powered, however some will grant highly unbalanced powers. Greatly varies. Some Artifakts are capable of untold destruction while others simply look cool and grant no actual power increase.
Artifakt Owner Notes
Blackstar Prime Shulga Blackstar is a cursed sword created from a corrupted black ABS. Gifted to an Agent of the Monolith. It can cut through any material except for Orange Transparent Chainsaws and Beamsabers. It's most revered ability however is that it grants the user the ability to teleport to the Monolith. It will not accept a new owner unless the previous owner has been destroyed. And considering it's current owner is a powerful Psionic who serves the Monolith, it may be impossible to truly kill them off long enough to have the sword change owners
WWWF Belt Macho Man The World Wide Wrestling Federation Championship Belt is held by the greatest wrestler in the brikverse. It grants the wearer a sick array of devastating wrestling moves, but comes with the side effect of making the wearer loud, obnoxious and incredibly irritable. Leaving them unable to go long periods without wrestling to vent their anger. Heavies, Aspiring wrestlers, martial artists and body builders are all compelled by the belt, to engage the wearer in Melee and try to take the Championship for themselves.
Glass Soul Charon The Glass Soul is an orb with a dark soul encased within it. Granted by the God of Shadows, it allows the user to teleport one's self away from danger. It also carries the ability to travel between RealSpace, HyperSpace, WarpSpace and BlueSpace and all other kinds of space. Allowing the individual to theoretically visit any dimension
Glacier Rod Unknown The Glacier Rod is an ancient magikal staff that is made of enchanted ice and rock. It can stop time, The rod has been missing eversince it's last owner was killed by the Black Legion.

Meta

The Monolith Battleplates are heavily influenced by concepts explored in the Elder scrolls series. And the STALKER Series of computer games.
